Samsung
When it comes to television technology, Samsung has been the undisputed global market leader for decades. No other brand so consistently combines groundbreaking display technology, smart software platforms and a product range that extends from compact lifestyle TVs to breathtaking Micro LED screens of more than 100 inches.
At Integration At Home we integrate Samsung televisions into Control4 smart home systems, so that your Samsung Neo QLED or QD-OLED becomes the visual centrepiece of a fully automated home cinema experience.
Samsung: From Korean Family Business to Global Market Leader
Samsung Electronics was founded in 1969 as a subsidiary of Samsung Group, which was established in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul in Daegu, South Korea. Samsung produced its first black-and-white television in 1970 and has since led every technological revolution: from CRT to plasma, from LCD to LED, from QLED to Neo QLED, from OLED to QD-OLED, and now to Micro LED. Since 2006, Samsung has been the number one TV manufacturer in the world without interruption. Samsung owns Samsung Display, one of the largest display manufacturers in the world, supplying panels to both Samsung Electronics and competitors.
The Display Technologies
Neo QLED (Mini LED)
Thousands of minuscule Mini LEDs for extremely precise brightness control. Dramatically more dimming zones than conventional LED. Deeper blacks in dark scenes, bright highlights at full intensity, minimal halo effects. Quantum Dot technology converts the light into a wide colour gamut with exceptional colour accuracy and brightness.
QD-OLED
Perfect black levels and infinite contrast ratios from OLED, combined with the colour purity of Quantum Dots. Blue OLED light is converted by red and green Quantum Dot layers — purer and brighter colours than conventional OLED, with a wider colour volume.
Micro LED
The future of displays. Each pixel consists of microscopically small self-emissive LEDs. No backlight, no colour filters, no organic material that can degrade. OLED-like blacks with LED-like brightness and lifespan, in sizes up to more than 100 inches. The MNA series from 2025 brings Micro LED to consumer sizes.

What makes The Frame Pro revolutionary in 2025: Neo QLED Mini LED technology (peak brightness above 1,000 nits — a massive upgrade over previous Frame models) combined with the Wireless One Connect Box that transmits 4K/144Hz wirelessly up to 10 metres, even through walls. The cable-free gallery aesthetic that Samsung has been pursuing. Interchangeable bezels in various colours and materials. The standard The Frame remains available from 32 to 85 inches as an entry-level model.
Samsung Vision AI and SmartThings
Vision AI
The overarching AI platform of 2025. AI Upscaling Pro with hundreds of neural networks for real-time image enhancement. AI Sound analyses and optimises audio per scene. AI Motion Enhancer Pro for smooth sport and action. Vision AI Companion enables conversation via Bixby, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant — from film suggestions to controlling your SmartThings devices.
SmartThings Ecosystem
Every Samsung premium TV functions as a SmartThings hub. Communication with Zigbee, Z-Wave and Wi-Fi devices for lighting, thermostat, cameras and more. In a Control4 environment, SmartThings functions as a complement — the TV provides an additional control interface alongside the Control4 touchscreens, app and remote control.
Q-Symphony synchronises the built-in TV speakers with a Samsung Soundbar. For dedicated home cinema, the preference goes to a discrete AV receiver via HDMI eARC.
Samsung and Control4: Seamless Integration
Samsung has integrated the Control4 SDDP protocol into its TVs since 2017: automatic detection, identification and addition — virtually instantaneous, without manual configuration. Control4 Certified drivers offer full access: on/off, volume, input selection, direct app selection (Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, YouTube) and picture mode. No separate streaming device required.
The Movie Night Scene
One press on a Basalte touchscreen or Niko switch: the Samsung S95F or QN90F switches on, selects the correct HDMI input, activates Filmmaker Mode. The Delta Light spots dim. The Gira curtain motors close. The NAD or McIntosh amplifier switches to Dolby Atmos mode. The REL Acoustics sub-bass systems activate. The Integratech LED strips dim to cinema ambiance. All within five seconds.
Film over: the lighting gradually rises to evening mode. The curtains open. The Frame Pro displays an artwork from your personal collection.
