Bluesound and the BluOS Platform
Bluesound is a Canadian audio brand that is part of the Lenbrook Group, alongside sister brands NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers. That family connection is no coincidence: Bluesound combines NAD’s amplifier technology with PSB’s acoustic expertise and packages it all in its own ecosystem built around the BluOS streaming platform.
BluOS is the operating system that connects all Bluesound products. The platform provides access to more than twenty music services, including Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and hundreds of internet radio stations. Your own digital music library is also available via network shares. BluOS supports hi-res audio streaming up to 24-bit/192 kHz and is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth and Roon.
The BluOS Controller app for iOS, Android, Mac and PC serves as the central control point. Group multiple players, set up zones, adjust the volume per room or play different music in different rooms. All from a single, intuitive interface.

NODE – The Reference Network Streamer
The NODE is the product that put Bluesound on the map. This compact network streamer brings hi-res music streaming to any existing amplifier or set of active speakers. Equipped with a quad-core 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A53 processor and an ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC, the NODE delivers exceptional audio precision from any source.
The NODE supports 24-bit/192 kHz audio processing, features HDMI eARC for television integration with Dolby Digital decoding, and offers a 6.3 mm headphone output with THX AAA technology for personal listening with minimal distortion. Since January 2025, the NODE also supports Dirac Live room correction, allowing you to optimise the acoustics of your listening space.
POWERNODE – The Streaming Amplifier
The POWERNODE combines a network streamer with a powerful amplifier in a compact device. With 100 watts per channel, HDMI eARC, and the full BluOS platform, it is the ideal solution for those who want a complete audio system with only the addition of passive speakers.
The latest generation POWERNODE introduces GaN transistor technology for cleaner amplification, USB-C audio input and a THX AAA headphone output. A touch-sensitive glass panel with proximity sensing provides quick control and access to five playback presets. The POWERNODE can also function as a two- or three-channel amplifier with support for a centre channel.
NODE ICON – The Flagship
The NODE ICON is Bluesound’s reference streamer, designed for the most demanding listener. A sleek aluminium enclosure with a vibrant 5-inch colour display sets a new standard for wireless music streamers. Awarded Product of the Year by What Hi-Fi? in the Best Music Streamer category.
NODE NANO – Streaming Made Accessible
The NODE NANO is the entry-level model that easily equips any existing stereo with Wi-Fi streaming. Plug in, connect to your network and start streaming. Ideal for secondary zones where the full functionality of the NODE is not necessary.
POWERNODE EDGE – Compact
The POWERNODE EDGE is Bluesound’s most compact streaming amplifier model. All essential features in a flat, wall-mountable form factor. Awarded the EISA Award 2023–2024 as best compact streaming amplifier. Ideal for spaces where a full-size amplifier does not fit visually or physically.
PULSE Speakers – Wireless Sound in Every Format

PULSE M – The All-Rounder

PULSE FLEX – Compact and Flexible
The PULSE FLEX is the most compact and affordable speaker in the Bluesound range. Fully redesigned in 2025 with a SmartDSP amplifier delivering 50 watts, a 10 cm woofer and 19 mm tweeter. Available in three finishes and expandable with accessories. Combine two PULSE FLEX speakers for stereo or add them as surround channels.
PULSE SUB+ – Wireless Subwoofer
The PULSE SUB+ adds deep, impactful bass to any Bluesound system. Wirelessly paired to the POWERNODE, PULSE CINEMA or PULSE SOUNDBAR+ via a dedicated Wi-Fi connection, without extra cables running through your room.

PULSE CINEMA – Dolby Atmos Soundbar
The PULSE CINEMA is Bluesound’s flagship soundbar, launched in 2025 and awarded Best in Show at CEDIA Expo. A discrete centre channel, upward-firing Atmos drivers and redesigned speaker arrays deliver rich, cinematic sound. HDMI eARC, optical and analogue inputs and an analogue subwoofer output provide full connectivity. An integrated accelerometer automatically adjusts the sound configuration when the soundbar is mounted horizontally or vertically.
The wireless home cinema system is easily expandable: add a PULSE SUB+ for bass and a pair of PULSE FLEX or PULSE M speakers as surround channels. The result is a fully fledged surround system without the complexity and wiring of a traditional AV installation.
PULSE CINEMA MINI – Compact Alternative
The PULSE CINEMA MINI offers Dolby Atmos and BluOS streaming in a more compact format, suitable for smaller spaces and slimmer TV setups.
Integration into Your Smart Home
In practice, this means music becomes part of your daily scenes and automations. A morning scene can gradually raise the lighting, open the blinds and simultaneously start your favourite radio station via the NODE in the kitchen. A cinema scene dims the lights, closes the curtains and switches the PULSE CINEMA to the correct source. A night scene stops all music throughout the house at the touch of a button.
Bluesound also integrates seamlessly with NAD Electronics amplifiers, which also support the BluOS platform. For homes where certain zones require more powerful amplification, we combine Bluesound players with NAD amplifiers from the Classic or Masters series — all controllable from the same BluOS app and the same home automation interface.
In addition, the BluOS platform is compatible with voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri via AirPlay 2 and Google Assistant. This voice control functions as a complement to physical control via Basalte keypads, touchscreens or the BluOS app.

Dirac Live is an advanced room correction system available as an upgrade for the NODE and NODE ICON. Via the Dirac app, you measure the acoustics of your room with a special microphone. The system then corrects bass build-up, echoes and other unwanted acoustic effects for a clear, balanced sound. We carry out this calibration as part of our installation service.
