Bowers & Wilkins
Since 1966, Bowers & Wilkins has been developing loudspeakers with a single purpose: to reproduce music as the artist intended. Nothing added, nothing taken away. That True Sound philosophy has made the British brand the choice of the world’s most renowned recording studios, including Abbey Road Studios, and a reference for anyone who accepts no compromise on sound quality.
At Integration At Home, we install Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers as part of a complete solution. From freestanding hi-fi speakers to invisible built-in solutions, from wireless multiroom to full home cinema systems. Every product is positioned, connected and tuned to get the most out of your space.
Bowers & Wilkins – More Than Fifty Years of Innovation
Bowers & Wilkins was founded in Worthing, West Sussex, by John Bowers and Roy Wilkins. What started as a radio and electronics shop grew into one of the most respected loudspeaker manufacturers in the world. Research & development has been central since inception, with a dedicated research centre in Steyning where groundbreaking technologies have been developed that have influenced the entire loudspeaker industry.
Several of those innovations still define the character of Bowers & Wilkins today. The Kevlar cones, introduced in 1974, offered an unprecedented combination of rigidity and damping. The Nautilus, launched in 1993, remains the flagship and an icon in the audio world to this day. The Diamond Dome tweeter, introduced in 2005 and awarded the Queen’s Award for Innovation, delivers unparalleled precision in the high frequencies. And the Continuum cone, developed as the successor to Kevlar, offers an even more transparent and neutral midrange reproduction.
Bowers & Wilkins designs and manufactures in the United Kingdom and Denmark and, in addition to loudspeakers, also supplies headphones, wireless speakers and car audio systems for brands including BMW, McLaren and Aston Martin.
The Speaker Lines – From Accessible to Absolute Top Level
Bowers & Wilkins offers four main lines of passive loudspeakers, each designed to set new performance standards within their class.
800 Series Diamond and Signature – The Absolute Reference
The 800 Series Diamond is the loudspeaker line used in the world’s finest recording studios. Diamond dome tweeters deliver a frequency response that no other material can match. The Matrix cabinet construction, with interlocking panels that reinforce the cabinet walls in all directions, eliminates unwanted resonances for sound of absolute purity.
The 800 Series Signature models build on this with optimised technologies and exclusive, luxurious finishes. The 801 Abbey Road Limited Edition celebrates the unique forty-five-year collaboration between Bowers & Wilkins and Abbey Road Studios. Models in the 800 Series include floorstanding, standmount and bookshelf speakers, from the monumental 801 D4 to the compact 805 D4.
700 Series and 700 Series Signature – Studio Sound at Home
With the 700 Series, Bowers & Wilkins brings studio technology to a wider audience. The Carbon Dome tweeter, housed in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure evolved from the 800 Series Diamond, delivers exceptional detail and clarity. The Continuum cone provides a transparent midrange.
The 700 Series is the most extensive range from Bowers & Wilkins, with floorstanding, standmount and bookshelf speakers plus a dedicated centre channel. This makes the series ideal for both two-channel music reproduction and full home cinema setups. The 700 Series Signature adds optimised technologies and unique finishes, including the first ever Signature centre channel: the HTM71 S3 Signature.
600 Series – True Sound Made Accessible
The 600 Series is the most affordable path to the Bowers & Wilkins sound experience. The eighth generation of this range, the S3, introduces a new Titanium Dome tweeter with extended tube-loaded system and the renowned Continuum cone bass/midrange driver. From the compact 607 S3 bookshelf speaker to the 603 S3 floorstander, this series delivers True Sound for every room and every budget.
Subwoofers
Bowers & Wilkins offers a range of active subwoofers that add deep, controlled and agile bass to any setup. Solid acoustics, powerful amplification and intelligent processing deliver bass that complements without dominating.
Custom Installation – Invisible Sound, Unmistakable Quality
For those who want to experience the sound of Bowers & Wilkins without visible speakers, the brand offers an extensive Custom Installation product line. This is the domain where Integration At Home makes the difference.
CI800 – Reference Level
The CI800 series uses the same Matrix cabinet construction as the 800 Series Diamond. Interlocking panels reinforce the cabinet walls internally in all directions, resulting in minimal resonance and sound reproduction that is barely distinguishable from the freestanding models. The CI800 is ideally installed during new builds or major renovations.
CI700 – Flexible and Powerful
The CI700 series is designed for both new builds and retrofit. A hinged reservoir volume compensates for the loss of cabinet volume inherent to built-in installation, allowing the speaker to deliver better sound reproduction and an improved bass response.
ISW In-Wall Subwoofers
The ISW-8 and ISW-6 are in-wall subwoofers specifically designed to work in conjunction with the CI800 and CI700 series. Deep bass frequencies from within the wall, without a visible device in the room.
CDA Amplifiers and Marine
CI speakers are passive and require external amplification. Bowers & Wilkins offers the CDA-4D and CDA-2HD multiroom amplifiers for this purpose. For yacht and boat owners, there is a Marine speaker line that is discreet, durable and resistant to maritime conditions.
Wireless Listening – Zeppelin, Formation and Panorama
Bowers & Wilkins offers a complete wireless ecosystem that combines multiroom audio, home cinema and personal listening via the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.
Zeppelin Pro Edition
The Zeppelin has been one of the most recognisable wireless speakers in the world since 2006. The Pro Edition combines five premium drivers with 240 watts of system power for room-filling stereo sound. Two Titanium Dome tweeters, two FST midrange drivers and a 6-inch subwoofer unit deliver a sound that far transcends wireless speakers.
The Zeppelin Pro Edition supports hi-res audio playback up to 24-bit/96 kHz, streaming via AirPlay 2, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX Adaptive and Spotify Connect, and access to streaming services via the Bowers & Wilkins Music app. Multiroom functionality makes it possible to group multiple Zeppelins and Formation speakers together.
Formation Series – Wireless Hi-Fi
The Formation series offers high-resolution wireless sound in various formats. The Formation Duo combines a Carbon Dome Tweeter-on-Top with a Continuum cone driver — technologies derived directly from the 800 Series Diamond — in a wireless active speaker. The series also includes models for stereo, multi-channel home cinema and the integration of existing hi-fi equipment into the wireless ecosystem.
Panorama 3 – Dolby Atmos Soundbar
The Panorama 3 is a Dolby Atmos-compatible soundbar that combines home cinema and streaming in a single, elegant component. Compatible with Amazon Alexa and fully integrated into the Bowers & Wilkins wireless ecosystem.
How We Integrate Bowers & Wilkins
Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers are available in a wide range, but the right choice depends on your space, your listening habits and your aesthetic preferences. That is precisely where Integration At Home makes the difference.
For hi-fi setups, we advise on the optimal positioning of your loudspeakers, select the right amplification and ensure correct acoustic tuning to your room.
For home cinema, we design the complete system: front channels, centre, surround, subwoofer and optionally Dolby Atmos height speakers from the 700 or CI series, driven by an AV receiver or processor that gets the best out of the Bowers & Wilkins drivers.
For custom installation, we work closely with your architect and contractor. The CI800 or CI700 speakers are planned during the design phase and installed before the finishing is applied. The result is a wall or ceiling from which sound emerges that is indistinguishable from freestanding speakers.
We connect Bowers & Wilkins to your home automation system via Control4 or KNX. Music scenes, volume presets per zone and automatic control are configured so that sound becomes an integral part of your living experience.
The wireless Bowers & Wilkins products integrate via AirPlay 2 and the Bowers & Wilkins Music app into your multiroom plan, optionally complemented with Bluesound or Sonos zones elsewhere in the home.
