Multivision Screens
When you plan a home cinema of the very highest level, you expect every component to perfectly match your room — not a standard size from a catalogue, but a projection screen designed to the millimetre for your wall, your projector and your viewing position. That is precisely where Multivision Screens excels. This Belgian company from Gembloux designs, produces and installs custom projection screens, from compact home cinema screens to monumental installations of more than 100 metres wide.
At Integration At Home, we work together with Multivision Screens to seamlessly integrate projection screens into your smart home with Control4 automation — including motorised control, scene management and perfect alignment with your JVC or Barco projector.
From Ghigny to Global Player: The History
Multivision Screens was founded in February 2002 by the grandson of the founder of Ghigny SA. The focus was on custom projection solutions from the very beginning. A decisive turning point came with the production and installation of a 42-metre wide Nolimit screen in Amsterdam — a tour de force that catapulted the company beyond Belgian borders.
Since 2010, Multivision Screens has collaborated with Harkness Screens, the world leader in projection surfaces with more than 90 years of experience. This partnership combines the expertise of Harkness in screen material with the mechatronic innovation and custom capability of Multivision Screens.
Today, the company operates from Gembloux and a production workshop in Ciney. References include KAUST in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), the Nouveau Siècle in Lille, Jan De Nul Group in Aalst (curved simulation screen), and an installation in Nannestad (Norway) with Cinemanext. From cinemas and universities to theme parks and private home cinemas.
Made in Europe: Production and Quality Assurance
Multivision Screens distinguishes itself through a fully European production chain. Virtually every screen is custom-made: the in-house design office is at the client’s disposal to develop the screen according to the exact specifications of the room. From prototyping during the development phase to the production of the final product — everything takes place in an integrated manner at the Belgian production workshop in Ciney.
The projection fabrics are supplied by Harkness Screens and cover the full spectrum of front and rear projection surfaces. Transport and packaging are handled directly from the production workshop, with screens packed in wooden crates. Every screen is delivered with a two-year warranty and comprehensive after-sales service.
Fixed Screens for Home Cinema
A permanently tensioned projection surface that remains completely flat, without waviness or deformation — image quality equivalent to a professional cinema.
Fixvision
The fixed-frame screen that combines design and robustness. Elegant aluminium frame clad in matte black velvet that absorbs ambient reflections. Concealed wall mounting brackets. Innovative tensioning system for a permanently completely flat fabric. Up to 4 metres wide, any aspect ratio (16:9, 2.35:1 CinemaScope). Compatible with the full Harkness range including acoustically transparent fabrics. The Fix² is the more compact variant up to 2.8 metres.
Edgevision
The fixed screen with invisible frame. All structural elements hidden behind the projection fabric — a clean “postcard” effect: only the projected image is visible. From 1.80 to 4 metres wide. Ideal for home cinemas where a minimalist design is desired, but also deployed in offices, museums and simulators.
Cinémask
Fixed-frame screen with image masking. Horizontal and vertical masking to adjust the visible image area to the content. Switch between 16:9 for series and sport and 2.35:1 CinemaScope for cinema films without compromise. Push-button fastening for perfect flatness. Up to 4 metres wide. The CinéMask variant takes over for larger formats.
Cinévision – XXL Fixed Screen
From 4 to 100 metres wide. Easily curved on location, with invisible “postcard” frame of anodised aluminium. Originally for cinemas and large venues, also deployable for exceptional private installations of cinema proportions.
Motorised Screens
When the screen needs to disappear when not in use — in a living room, meeting room or multifunctional space.
Inceiling
Fully integrated in the false ceiling. From 1.80 to 4.50 metres wide. Invisible when not in use. Aluminium chassis integrates seamlessly into the ceiling.
Homevision I & II
Compact motorised, 3 to 4.50 metres wide. Silent motorisation, aluminium housing. With or without frame borders, also in tab-tension for perfect flatness. The Homevision II with improved housing and stylish design.
Pantovision & Widevision
Pantovision rolls up into furniture or architecture — such as the installation in the council chamber of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Widevision for wider installations, recently two screens of 6.20 and 4.50 metres in Beauvechain.
Polivision & Nolimit
Polivision: 8 to 25 metres wide with carbon fibre roll-up tube and Somfy motorisation. Nolimit: the flagship for XXL installations from 8 to 100 metres — the screen with which Multivision Screens achieved its international breakthrough.
Harkness Projection Fabrics
As a partner of Harkness Screens, Multivision Screens offers access to the most extensive range of projection surfaces in the world. For home cinema, the key fabric types are: front projection fabrics with gain values optimised for your specific projector and room, acoustically transparent fabrics for speakers behind the screen (essential for installations with Focal or Bowers & Wilkins), and ALR fabrics (Ambient Light Rejecting) for rooms with ambient light. The choice of projection fabric is at least as important as the choice of projector.
Control4 Integration by Integration At Home
Motorised Multivision Screens screens are seamlessly integrated into Control4 via the standard Somfy motorisation. Communication via RS232 or relay contact with the Control4 controller.
For fixed screens such as the Fixvision or Edgevision, Integration At Home programmes the scene without screen movement — the screen is permanently mounted and the scene exclusively activates the projector, amplification, lighting and climate.
The Movie Night Scene
You activate “Movie Night” via a Control4 touchscreen, Basalte keypad, Meljac push button or your smartphone. The Multivision Screens Inceiling screen silently descends from the ceiling. The JVC projector starts and selects the correct lens memory for the aspect ratio. The McIntosh or Marantz amplifier switches to Dolby Atmos mode. The Focal speakers fill the room. The Integratech LED strips dim to cinema ambiance. The Delta Light ceiling spots switch off. The Gira curtains close and the climate control switches to whisper mode.
Film over: the screen silently rolls up and disappears into the ceiling, the lighting returns to evening mode, the curtains open.
